Afro hi-life with Willy of NMA - Naija Most Anticipated

stated Olushola Folusho Williams also known by his stage name "Willy". This young artist is from Ikun Akoko, Ondo state, Nigeria.

Willy is a talented energetic artist and member of a musical group known as N.M.A - Naija Most Anticipated.

The group is made up of three hit makers, Oluwashola Foluwasho Williams, Jason Adewale Akinola and Omosehin Oluwatobi Adeola known as Willy, Jason, and Yadore respectively.

They are currently students at the Adekunle Ajasin University, Aungba Akoko in Ondo state.

When asked about his genre of music, "my Genre of music is Hi-life" He said,

He explained that he believes Africans should go back to their indigenous style of music filled with rhythm, beats, and passion.

“This is what is so special about Africa" he said.

The "Mummy mi" crooner mentioned that growing up his musical experience has been shaped by some of Nigerian legendary artists such as Dr Nwaifor, Ebenezer Obey, Sunny Ade, and Wasiu Ayinde K1.

The former chorister was motivated into Afrobeats highlife by these great artists.

"It has not been easy o..."  Willy responds when asked about the challenges he faces as an artist balancing his education as a student.

The artist points out that it is a herculean task set before him, describing school and music as ‘two jealous girlfriends’.

The trio have so far released three singles which are gaining popularity and have put them on the same stage as Skales and other artists during campus concerts.

“I believe we are hitting hard. There are usually doubts about the whether or not groups will last but for right now we are ready to give it our all and do it right”, he stated.

He advised, “Just keep doing what you do best. Somehow, someday believe me brother; the hustle will definitely pay off”.
