Take Action: How to grow your YouTube Channel

Today as I was scrolling through my LinkedIn timeline, liking posts and sharing content that I find interesting I came across a short video that was titled "TAKE ACTION" and it triggered me.

I began to think of all the mini-self projects I had started but didn't complete or quit because I was simply overwhelmed and not disciplined enough to push myself through. It's sometimes difficult to admit that you are your own biggest problem, but it is absolutely necessary for you to face the truth and grow.

Yes, I lack discipline and follow-through in my person. My flaws have caused me to not see or even fulfil my potential in certain areas of my life and I am not okay with it. If this is true for you then you shouldn't be okay with it too.

The author of the post commented and asked me for some tips to grow their youtube channel seeing as I added "YouTuber" in my description.

These are the tips that I shared with him, knowing fully well that I should also be implementing them all every day, every minute to really get the results that I need.

  • The main thing that I have found is to be consistent and keep giving as much value as you can with each video.
  •  Be yourself and stay true to your message.
  • On the video side, clear videos with good lighting and clear sound is a good start until you get more equipment or are able to hire a team.
  • It also helps to engage with your audience and respond to every question and comment you get.
  • Lastly, promote yourself unapologetically and unashamedly everywhere and anywhere.

I informed him that I would blog about this and thanked him for his question, but I was actually thanking him for reminding me once again to take action. These tips are the very least that one can do but also very effective when growing a channel or blog / or page.

So now it's your turn to TAKE ACTION.
