Skincare Tips and Tricks

The skin is the biggest organ of the human body and it requires a lot of care and attention.

Here are some tips and tricks that are easily accessible and are very effective as well.
Water - drinking loads of water is the best way to keep your skin fresh and hydrated.

- Shea butter - this can be used alone or mixed in your other body lotions, makes your skin smooth and it is filled with the right nutrients that ensure that your skin is glowing and healthy. Shea Butter is also good for hair.

- Coconut Oil - many many people all over the world can swear by this oil that it works wonders. Coconut oil can be used to cook, for skin, for hair and just about anything related to health that you can think of. Give it a try and see the results. For that extra bonus, try mixing it with Shea Butter for your body and use as hair treatment.

- Exfoliate - It is important to exfoliate the skin and get rid of the dirt that usually piles up on it over periods of time. One way of doing this is to add drops of lemon into warm water and covering yourself over the face with a towel to allow the steam go directly on your face. This opens your pores and use a soft face sponge to lightly scrub. This can also help with black heads, white heads and remove of dead skin. This can be done once a week although not too harshly because the skin only grows back every 28 days. Be sure to moisturise after this.

 - Sun screen - It is important to protect your skin from the harsh harmful rays of the sun. Make sure to always use sunscreen (no matter the colour of your skin) to protect yourself. Wear hats/caps to cover your face if you are going to spend a lot of hours out doors.

Some other items you can consider adding to your mix are: argon oil, carrot oil, Castor oil(can be used to grow eyelashes too), Aloe Vera Soap, Vitamin E, Black Dudu Osun Soap (original) to mention a few.

It’s always best to use natural organic products. They give the best results and can be used for longer periods of time and interchangeably. (For example you can use shea butter if you don’t have coconut oil and vice versa. Same with the other oils mentioned.)

And you can just add them in your normal products that you already use for the extra touch.

It’s all about finding out what works best for you.

Be You always.
