I hate it when someone makes me feel like what I'm saying rubbish or unserious/unimportant.
Or like I don't know what I am talking about. ( And how I hate feeling stupid.) - who doesn't?
It happens a lot, simply because I choose to see things from a different perspective.
I can almost hear them in their head saying "this girl is so naive/ young / immature to know what life is really all about"
But it's Okay, we have different perspectives and that's fine but for once I wish those people would take a moment to really reflect deeper and try to see if it makes sense, rather than just accept what they have been told is the norm.
Rules of society, traditions and cultures have been put that way according to what other humans felt worked for them at that time and as time changes, everything needs to evolve as well.
This is my opinion.
Core values might remain, but methods needs to be re-evaluated.
We grow up a certain way and because we are used to how things were when we were growing up, we forget that things can actually be done differently.
Just because it worked doesn't mean it was the best way to get it done either.
THERE ARE A THOUSAND WAYS TO SKIN A CAT.
Your way is not the gospel and neither is mine but by objectively comparing both our methods we may be able to find a common ground that can work for us all... At least consider a different opinion before you shoot it down.
There is no manual to life, we are all just doing our best.
Choose to see a different way, challenge your perspective by being more open minded and thinking a little deeper
- Expand your mind.
There is usually more than meets the eye...
