It's hard to explain your vision to people who don't have your eyes.
The battle becomes tougher when you expect support but all you get is questions and doubts thrown in your face.
Your mental health becomes unstable because through all that fighting you slowly begin to doubt yourself and your choices. You begin to question If What you are fighting so hard for is worth it when all could easily go horribly wrong at any moment.
Life goes within the blink of an eye, you question whether it was worth tearing down your relationships only to lose your life the next day.
The war wages on all sides, internal and external.
You pray. You ask. You seek advice. Each day, there's a reason why you should and shouldn't.
The most heartbreaking part of it all is when you meet people who had opportunities to change the course of their own lives but instead took a route they didn't want to due to one reason or another. The thought of 'What if' remains in their mind, even as they speak you can feel the flames of that fire that once burned bright.
You learn to live with your decisions and choosing to go after comfort instead of happiness.
Perhaps a part of you knows that the journey would've taken more out of you than you'd ever be prepared for.
Maybe you should settle?
It's okay to settle. Sometimes.
As long as you convince yourself that the crumbs you eat are still good enough for a king.
